ImageSoft, Inc. is currently recruiting for a PRODUCT OWNER (HOSTED SYSTEMS) , for our Southfield, MI office. This position works closely with the Director of Product Development and customers to understand the market needs and convey those needs to the SCRUM team, then serve as the point person for the developers and QA members on the SCRUM team.

What an ImageSoft Product Owner will do – Job Description:

  • Develop epic and user stories for all new functionality to include presenting user stories to the product teams in grooming and design sessions, ensuring that new functionality meets the acceptance criteria, so the work can be designated as complete.
  • Assists the development team with release planning, functional research, and testing of releases.
  • Assigns prioritized items (User Stories) from the Product Backlog to the Scrum Teams, participates in Team Planning meetings and is available to provide advice, clarification and guidance during the execution of each Sprint.
  • Champions sufficient customer engagement during the development through, for example, product demonstration and customer feedback.
  • Inspects, accepts or rejects completed work from the development Sprint.
  • Works in relevant structures (e.g. Scrum of Scrums) to manage dependencies and set priorities across multiple teams and Backlog items and to maintain alignment to the Release Product vision and roadmap.
  • Has final sign-off of the Product Release at the different levels.
  • Responsible for Stakeholder Management, engaging with key customer contacts and with Sales and marketing as required to ensure that all relevant inputs to the Product Backlog have been collected and prioritized.
  • Ensures that the Product Backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum business value.
  • Becomes a subject matter expert in the relevant product domains and is expected to be an expert in the product from a feature / functionality perspective.
  • Maintains an understanding of target market and user base and uses this to guide product decisions.

What an ImageSoft Product Owner will have – Skills & Requirements:

  • Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related field and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with Hosted Systems, OnBase and Courts, a major plus
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a product manager, product owner, software development or business analysis in an agile environment.
  • Software Development Experience a plus.
  • Excellent and proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to act and communicate professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers and subject matter experts.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
