Jumping on the e-Filing Bandwagon: A Tune Up to Avoid a Bumpy Ride

Dan Mayernik, Director of Product Development, ImageSoft

With the recent passing of Michigan House Bill 4064 – which rescinds paper-era court recordkeeping requirements – and the adoption by the Michigan State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) of ImageSoft’s TrueFiling as the state-wide e-Filing platform, the last road blocks to a paper-on-demand court have mostly been lifted. Subsequently, it’s highly likely that e-Filing will be “Coming Soon to A Court Near You”. Are you ready for the change? If not, this session will help prepare you for a smooth transition to paperless e-Filing processes. Attendees will review current changes to Michigan Court Rules; learn about SCAO expectations for adoption of e-Filing practices and discuss what the potential impact on attorneys, the courts and local bar associations will be.

Advanced Capture and Automated Indexing

Tom Hoffman, Manager, Capture Solutions, Hyland Software

Automated Indexing uses template-based OCR technology to lift printed information directly from the image page and to classify and index documents. This reduces indexing burden, improves indexing accuracy, decreases bottlenecks typically associated with the process and expedites the entry of critical documents and data into your OnBase system. This session will introduce the business benefits and efficiencies that can be gained by using OnBase indexing and capture tools and will dispel the myth that these are “big-budget” solutions.

The Skinny on OnBase

Colleen Alber, Software Product Evangelist, Hyland Software

Attend this OnBase-refresh session to learn about all that’s new under the OnBase sun. Hear about recent developments from OnBase, including new modules, tools and applications now available to streamline and improve government processes, as well as upgrades to existing products – from email integration, case management and Application Enabler, to Unity Client, workflow and more. This session will also provide a sneak preview of what’s “in the works” at Hyland.

Driving Efficiencies in Accounts Payable & Finance

Marina Neumaier, Finance Director, Northville Township, MI
Shaun Nicoloff, Director of Information Technology, Northville Township, MI

When seeking to streamline operations, government should not overlook the value of applying technology to the accounts payable processes. AP and Finance automation offer improved effectiveness and efficiency and ample opportunity for reducing costs and enhancing services. Join this discussion to hear how the neighboring cities of Northville and Novi, Mich., have widely benefited from an automated AP system and learn the details of a new “in the works” collaborative project with ImageSoft and Northville to offer an affordable, repeatable cloud-based AP foundation for municipalities.
