Keynote Speaker

John C. Foster, Chief Judge, 16th Judicial Circuit Court

Judge Foster was appointed to the Circuit Court bench on April 26, 2006 by Governor Jennifer M. Granholm, and was named Chief Judge in April 2013. Prior to that, Judge Foster was a District Judge at the 41-B District Court, serving Mount Clemens and the Townships of Clinton and Harrison, for 15 years. He received his B.A. from Alma College, where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. He received his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law in 1977. Besides private practice, Judge Foster was Assistant, then Corporation Counsel for Macomb County until his appointment to the District Court Bench by Governor James J. Blanchard in November, 1990.

Judge Foster has been active in many community organizations, including the Salvation Army’s Mt. Clemens Citadel, Clinton Township Optimists Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Metro Detroit’s Alzheimer’s Association, and a member of the Board at Peace Presbyterian Village.

Scott Bade, President, ImageSoft

As President, Scott Bade is responsible for the overall management and direction of ImageSoft, which provides technology to automate, streamline and improve workplace processes, increase productivity and reduce operating costs. For over 25 years he has designed and deployed document management and workflow systems for some of the largest corporate and government agencies in North America. During that time, he developed, sold and managed a large number of custom document management products and projects. He is a Certified Document Imaging Architect, a charter recipient of the prestigious AIIM Master of Information Technology award, and a 2011 recipient of the Leaders & Innovators award presented by Lawrence Tech University.


Michael Leidlein, Senior Account Executive, ImageSoft

Michael Leidlein specializes in technology solutions for government. Since 2003, Mike has worked with city and county government to help them increase productivity, reduce operating costs and save time and money using Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and customized workflow solutions. He is skilled in aiding ImageSoft’s current and prospective customers position the value of ECM, benchmark their success and foster collaboration and transparency in government. Additionally, he works closely with his accounts to identify sources for funding ECM technology through available grants and other resources.

Bill Priemer, President and CEO, Hyland Software

Bill Priemer is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hyland Software. Bill joined the company in 1997 as Vice President of Marketing. He was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2001, named Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2005 and became the company’s CEO in January 2013. In his roles at Hyland, Bill has been a leading figure to drive the successful growth of the company, leading all client and partner-facing initiatives, including global sales and marketing, professional services, technical training and Hyland’s industry-leading customer support. Prior to joining Hyland, Bill was a Manager of New Service Development at Federal Express and served as a Manager of Business Development for AST Research, a personal computer manufacturer.

Colleen Alber, Software Product Evangelist, Hyland Software

In her role at Hyland Software, Inc., the developers of OnBase®, Colleen Alber is currently responsible for driving adoption of Hyland’s Unity platform by translating technology into business value. Colleen defines product messaging, prepares collateral, develops and markets training webinars and creates content so that end users can form a vision of of how Hyland products will offer solutions for their needs.


Jeffre Barlow, Justice Systems Consultant, ImageSoft

Jeffrey Barlow works as a Justice Systems Consultant with ImageSoft, Inc. Prior to that, he has spent over 35 years working with courts, both as an attorney and as an information systems professional. After practicing law for ten years in the private and public sectors, he earned a second bachelor’s degree in computer science and joined the State of Oregon court system’s newly formed Information Systems Division in 1986. Over the next 20 years, Jeff participated in and led major court technology development and implementation projects as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Project Office Manager, and Deputy CIO. He also holds an MBA and is certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Barlow is an experienced speaker and has presented at major court conferences nationally, including NCSC’s e-Courts East and West, as well as the Oregon Association of Court Administrators and various educational workshops.


Jack Battles, Director, Friend of the Court, Genesee County, MI

John “Jack” Battles has practiced law in Genesee County since 1987 and has been a strong advocate for children and families. Appointed Director of the Friend of the Court in 2006, Jack continues to strive for the best interest of children and families in Genesee County. He serves on the Board of Directors for New Paths, Inc., Flint, MI and is a member of the Genessee County Bar Association as well as the State Bar of Michigan.


Kevin Bowling, 20th Circuit Court Administrator, Ottawa County, MI

Kevin Bowling is the Trial Court Administrator and Attorney Referee for the 20th Judicial Circuit and Probate Courts in Ottawa County. He is also past President of the National Association for Court Management and a Fellow of the Institute for Court Management. His work in the judicial system spans 30 years with time spent as a court manager, an attorney, a judicial educator and a court consultant, including service in western Africa as Deputy Chief of Party for the Nigeria Justice Sector Assistance Project. Kevin also served in a variety of positions with the Michigan Supreme Court, including State Judicial Educator and Regional Court Administrator.


Steve Bouton, Channel Account Manager, Hyland Software

Steve Bouton has managed and worked in support of OnBase resellers at Hyland Software for five years. He is a Certified Document Imaging Architect and an AIIM ECM Practitioner. Prior to joining Hyland, Steve was a Sales Operations Manager at Agilysys, Inc., where he managed a team of sellers for the Technology Solutions Group.


Terry Chaudhuri, Senior Sales Engineer, ImageSoft

Before joining ImageSoft in 2009, Terry Chaudhuri worked in IT and Enterprise Content Management for over seven years and is a Kofax Capture Certified Consultant, an OnBase Certified Installer, and also technically certified in Kodak Capture Pro. Terry has worked with numerous customers in many verticals, including government, healthcare and financial. He has extensive experience with advanced document capture and supports both the ImageSoft Sales and Technical teams.


Tom Curran, CEO/Exectuive Director – Municipal Services Authority and Executive in Residence, Governor Rick Snyder’s Office, Lansing

Thomas R. Curran, Jr. is the executive leader and acting CEO of the Michigan Municipal Services Authority, an organization designed to deliver shared services and solutions, including health and wellness offerings, to local units of government throughout the State of Michigan. He also serves as the Executive Director and special advisor to the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute. Tom has over thirty years of global experience, business leadership, and legal expertise. Most recently, Tom served as Director of Portfolio Company Management for Alticor Corporate Enterprises and Vice President of Global Business Development for Metagenics Inc. Mr. Curran is the former Chairman of the Board and CEO of Interleukin Genetics, a molecular diagnostics company, based in metro Boston. He is the former Chief Legal Officer for Access Business Group LLC, a manufacturing and distribution company and wholly owned subsidiary of Alticor Inc.


Kevin Flanagan, Industry Manager, Government Solutions, Hyland Software

Kevin Flanagan is the Industry Manager of Government Solutions. Before rejoining Hyland, Kevin spent the last four and a half years managing the government sales efforts for one of Hyland’s largest resellers. He started with Hyland (the first time) in early 2004 and, while there, spent a year in Marketing as the Channel Marketing Specialist before moving to Sales as a Channel Account Representative and eventually becoming a Regional Account Manager. Kevin’s responsibilities as Industry Manager of Government Solutions include evangelizing a government-focus to Hyland’s VAR community and creating and marketing new Hyland government solutions.


Rodney Goss, Trooper, Michigan State Police

Rodney Goss has been a State Police trooper since 1995. He worked the initial installation of digital radio systems and in-car computer program for the State Police in Monroe over ten years ago. The Monroe Post was a test bed for the initial evaluation of on-line systems such as AICS police reporting system, digital traffic citations, officer daily reports, and now TruFiling.


Tom Hoffman, Manager, Capture Sales, Hyland Software

An industry veteran with over four decades’ experience in ECM, Hoffman specializes in understanding, analyzing, and selling advanced document and data capture solutions. In his current role at Hyland, Hoffman is responsible for assisting Hyland account executives and Hyland channel partners across the US with strategic planning, new business development, client satisfaction, prospect qualification, providing subject matter expertise in identifying, developing, and deploying applications to help streamline operations and enhance customer productivity. Hoffman is a past board member of the New England Chapter of AIIM (Association for Imaging and Information Management) and a Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+).


James Leneschmidt, Chief Technology Officer, ImageSoft

As a founding partner and Chief Technology Officer of ImageSoft, James Leneschmidt is responsible for technology initiatives and oversight of all product development and deployment to client sites. He is a Certified Document Imaging Architect and has served on the OnBase Developers’ Advisory Board since 2005. His prized work includes customizing OnBase solutions for insurance, healthcare and government customers; some of which have won industry awards for Best ROI and Innovative Solution.

Todd Lushinsky, Esri Business Development Manager, Hyland Software

Todd Lushinsky is the Esri Business Development Manager at Hyland Software. He was an employee of Esri for 8 years, and worked within Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Alliance Management. While at Esri he also managed the relationships and technical development between Esri’s GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and the Enterprise Content Management companies. After his tenure at Esri, Mr. Lushinsky has gone on to hold a number of different positions within the GIS and GPS industry, including Content and Mapping Product Manager for Magellan Navigation, as well as Business Development Manager for Geo Tactical Solutions. Mr. Lushinsky brings 15 years of experience working within the GIS/GPS industry and specializes in Federal, State, and Local Government solutions.


Dan Mayernik, Director of Product Development, ImageSoft

Dan Mayernik, a Microsoft Certified Professional, joined ImageSoft in 2009 as ECM Practice Manager. In 2011, Dan was named Product Development Manager, and in 2012 was promoted to his current position in which he is responsible for developing and managing existing products and services as well as creating and integrating new products and product changes. Dan has over 15 years in proven software application development experience in the analysis, design, construction and delivery of enterprise level software applications. He also has extensive technical experience creating enterprise-wide ECM, BPM and custom.NET applications leveraging technologies such as SharePoint, OnBase, Kofax and IBM FileNet.


Jessica Moy, Director of Technology Partnerships,
State of Michigan

Jessica is the Director of the Office of Technology Partnerships within the Center for Shared Solutions. In this role, she facilitates IT collaboration between the State of Michigan and all levels of government, other not-for-profit entities, higher education, and the private sector.


Marina Neumaier, Finance Director, Northville
Township, MI

Marina Neumaier is a Certified Public Accountant with over twenty-five years of combined private and public municipal finance experience. Marina was recently promoted to the position of Finance Director, joining the Northville Township Team last December. Prior to her work at the Township, she served as the Assistance Finance Director for the City of Novi where she was responsible for safeguarding the fiscal integrity of the City through the development and implementation of sound financial policies and practices. She has served on the Board of the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA) and currently sits on the MGFOA Accounting Standards Committee.


Shaun Nicoloff, Director of Information Technology, Northville Township, MI

Shaun Nicoloff has over 7 years’ experience in the public and private municipal information technology field and specializes in Database Management and Geographic Information Systems. Shaun joined Northville Township two and a half years ago and currently holds the position of Director of information technology. In that time, Shaun has worked on multiple OnBase projects including recently linking the Townships Computerized Maintenance Management System with OnBase enabling field crews the ability to access electronic tap slips from their iPad.


William Nichols, Prosecutor, Monroe County, MI

William Nichols has been the Prosecuting Attorney for Monroe County since 2005. Prior to that, he served as the Monroe Chief Assistant Prosecutor from 2001-2004. Previous to this position, he was the Assistant Prosecutor in Monroe County. William is a board member of the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan and also serves on the PAAM Technical Services Committee.


Jim Olson, Principal, MGT of America, Inc.

Jim Olson has been providing consulting services for the past 29 years to cities, counties and state agencies. Jim has specialized in developing financial plans for Title IV-D child support agencies assisting them in leveraging federal funds to provide maximum resources for this very important task. In addition, he developed a comprehensive program of claiming for the child support agencies including preparation of applications, monthly claiming, automated time accounting and audit defense. He currently provides counties with technical assistance for their Child Care Fund.


Dan Rainey, CIO/IT Director, City of Detroit
Water & Sewerage

Dan Rainey serves as Information Technology Director and Chief Information Officer for the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, a regional supplier of water and sewerage services to over 4 million southeastern Michigan residents. Dan has over 20 years of experience leading and transforming IT organizations, including most recently, the City of Ann Arbor, MI, which he helped achieve a first place Digital City award in 2012. In 2011, Dan was recognized as a Computerworld Premier 100 Leader and In 2009 Dan was awarded the Michigan Excellence in Technology Leadership Award.


Rick Wilson, VP of Operations, ImageSoft

As Vice President, Rick is responsible for corporate management and business strategy activities for ImageSoft. An industry veteran, he has been involved in delivering custom technology solutions to large corporate and government clients for more than 20 years. During that time, he played key roles in the startup and growth of multiple high-tech business ventures. His wide ranging career assignments have provided him with hands-on experience in design, engineering, development, service, sales and marketing of hardware and software products.
