ImageSoft Solution Enables CAA to Improve Processes and Earn Recognition by Celent as 2011 Model Insurer

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — In a report released last week, Celent Model Insurer 2011: Case Studies of Effective Technology Use in Insurance, 25 insurance companies were recognized by Celent, a leading research and advisory firm, for exemplary technology initiatives. ImageSoft, Inc., customer, CAA South Central Ontario (CAA) was among them. The 25 were honored at the Celent Insurer Summit last week in New York.

When ImageSoft began working with CAA, the insurer was wrestling with a legacy document imaging product that was slowing customer service. ImageSoft resolved the issue by implementing an OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) software suite and workflow which helped the insurer achieve its core mission of providing exceptional service and high value to its members.

The ImageSoft solution is sophisticated enough to be used across the enterprise, yet flexible enough to address future business challenges. It enabled CAA to decrease time spent printing documents and processing mail and to drive improvements in service to customers, earning them recognition as a 2011Celent Model Insurer.

CAA South Central Ontario’s successes include:

  • Converted from a legacy document imaging product to OnBase in four days
  • Decreased time spent getting the information into the ECM system by 75 percent
  • Automatically routes work to the appropriate people, cutting out weeks of time during which the content was previously in the mailroom waiting for next steps
