IMAGESOFT merges with dms ideas, inc. june 01, 2000
ImageSoft, Inc. and DMS ideas, Inc have
announced the completion of a merger of their two operations. The two privately held
companies have come to terms on a merger that will strengthen both company’s positions
in the rapidly expanding Document and Content Management markets.
The surviving company will retain the ImageSoft, Inc. name and will continue to operate out
of ImageSoft's main office in Birmingham, Michigan.
ImageSoft has traditionally developed Content and Document Management solutions for
the Advertising and Manufacturing industries. DMS ideas' solution focus in the Criminal
Justice, Government, and Financial sectors has been integrated with ImageSoft to form a
new organization with outstanding technical delivery and support capabilities.
The companies have announced that all DMS ideas personnel have transitioned to
ImageSoft and all support contracts and proposals will be completely honored.
"This is a case where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" said former DMS
ideas president Scott Bade. "ImageSoft has developed some truly cutting-edge
technology for managing advertising media, including best-of-breed digital video capture
and cataloging technology. Because the criminal justice systems are capturing more and
more digital media - whether in the police car or in the court room, we believe this
technology will be very appealing to these clients" Bade said.
ImageSoft president Steven Glisky went on to say; "Neither company needed the merger,
but it made a lot of sense for our customers. ImageSoft and DMS ideas have worked
together for many years and are very comfortable with each other. We will keep the staffs
of both organizations intact, and move forward to better serve our customers".
