IMAGESOFT recognized as one of michigan's top 50 companies to watch february 19, 2008 Michigan 50 Companies to Watch is a unique awards program developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation, a non profit foundation based in Michigan, to honor second-stage companies. These second-stage companies which are typically privately held, past the start up stage and face growth challenges, also demonstrate high performance in the marketplace, exhibit innovative products or processes, or otherwise make the company “worth watching”. The 50 companies selected each year collectively provide thousands of jobs and contribute millions of dollars of revenue to Michigan’s economy. "When it comes to a robust economy, second-stage entrepreneurs play a critical role because they generate new jobs and sustainable growth,” says Mark Lange, Executive Director of the Edward Lowe Foundation. “And yet, they’re not often recognized or appreciated for the impact they have on the economy or the community.” Winners were selected by judges from the banking, economic development, entrepreneurship development and venture capital communities. Judges evaluated the nominees’ demonstrated intent and capacity to grow based on one or more of the following: • Employee or sales growth. • Exceptional entrepreneurial leadership. • Sustainable competitive advantage. • Other notable factors that showcase the company's success. |
