MMA helps people and groups integrate their finances with faith values through its expertise in insurance and financial services. Rooted in the Anabaptist faith tradition, MMA also offers practical stewardship education and tools to individuals, congregations, organizations, and businesses. As the winners of the Best Web Technologies award, MMA successfully demonstrated the power of OnBase in a Web environment.

MMA saw its biggest challenge as its ability to provide remote access to client-related information via its Web-based tool, Navagate Agility. So, MMA integrated Navagate Agility with OnBase to provide its sales staff with integrated access to client documents. Now, MMA’s remote staff can instantly access all documents related to a client in order to make better decisions. This has saved an enormous amount of time and assured that all parties have access to information in a timely manner. Additionally, it has made the jobs of MMA's staff, its customers and its sales representatives much easier, and allows the sales staff to remain customer centric.

Since its founding in 1912, Accident Fund Insurance Company of America has been the number one provider of workers compensation insurance for Michigan business. With headquarters in Lansing, Michigan, Accident Fund is a wholly-owned and independent operating subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and is the 10th largest writer of workers compensation insurance in the country. The company also provides third-party administration services and disability management. Accident Fund approached Enterprise Content Management truly as an organizational-wide strategy, and thus came away with a process that earned them the Best Insurance Solution award.

Previously, Accident Fund shipped all paper copies to its third-party vendor. Each region operated almost entirely independent of one another. Retrieving quick claims was a logistical nightmare, and customer service was a long and arduous process. But, the implementation of OnBase has allowed Accident Fund to standardize core processes for six claims regions while maintaining continued scalability. Relevant information regarding a file is linked electronically. Information flows faster and to multiple departments, and customer service is no longer a waiting game. Accident Fund has become a more streamlined organization and has made great strides toward becoming paperless.
